Rewards & Benefits

As if contributing to and supporting work that makes life better for millions wasn’t rewarding enough, we offer a full range of benefits too. You’ll have the freedom to shape the package that’s right for you and your life.

Here are some of our key benefits:

Smart Working

Smart Working is Balfour Beatty’s approach to when, where and how our employees work. It’s more than a flexible working policy; it is about having a supportive, inclusive culture and being a great place to work. It covers all the stages of your career and considers arrangements and flexibility to meet your needs such as staggered start and finish times, and where roles allow, the opportunity to work remotely 40% of the time.

Share Incentive Plan

To help you share in Balfour Beatty’s success, we offer the opportunity to invest in our company and share in our potential future results.

The Share Incentive Plan is a tax-efficient way to invest in Balfour Beatty shares. Open to all permanent employees, it allows you to contribute between £10 and £150 per month, via deductions from payroll.

Annual Leave

As a permanent employee, you’ll receive a maximum of 25 days’ paid statutory annual leave entitlement, pro rata if you work part time, in addition to any extra contractual holiday and national bank holidays.

Recognition Schemes

Delivering on your goals and living our behaviours is important, so in return we’ll recognise your achievements. We have a number of different schemes that provide a chance for you to be recognised by your colleagues.

Pensions

Lay the foundations for life after work, with our contributory pension scheme.

In addition to your contributions, Balfour Beatty will usually contribute to your pension scheme and you’ll receive tax relief. Furthermore, you’ll also receive life assurance if you’re in the pension scheme.
