About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that manages and improves one of the busiest motorways in Europe - the M25.

We are looking for a Business Improvement Analyst to join us to work at either our South Mimms office or our Dartford office.

ROLE PURPOSE.

To assist the Business Efficiency Manager and Performance Manager in the development and management of the Business Improvement programme. This role will proactively engage with the business to implement Business Improvement Projects in line with business goals and objectives. The business improvement co-ordinator will also keep up-to-date records on improvement opportunities and projects while providing efficient reporting to the business.

What you'll be doing

As a Business Improvement Analyst, your main accountabilities will be as follows:

Acc Assist in the production of business cases for Lean process improvement projects
Acc Deliver lean projects in line with CPS demand and support other improvement projects as required, utilising technical support from Performance manager where required
Acc Lead the PMO functionality that manages the lean projects programme completion
Acc Report on (Lean) Project / Champion progress to the management and leadership team as required
Acc Manage the Change Register to ensure prioritisation of ideas and active attendance at the change board.
Acc Analysis of performance to identify where lean activities can be introduced to raise performance
Acc Track improvement projects to encourage completion before collating benefits for reporting
Acc Collect and analyse measurement data to support the scoping of BI projects
Acc Assist in resource allocation of lean practitioner placement and necessary administration
Acc In liaison with the Health and Safety team, process improvement suggestions from the Dont Walk Bys and manage the feedback route to originators and support improvements where required

Acc Annual preparation for Highway England Lean Maturity Assessment (HELMA) documentation
Acc Be a part of the CPS HELMA team to engage with the Highways England audit/assessment.

About us

Balfour Beatty is part of a consortium that comprises Connect Plus Services (CPS), together with Atkins and Egis Road Operations UK.
CPS has a 30-year contract with Connect Plus on behalf of Highways England. The contract, which started in September 2009, is to maintain and operate the M25 motorway network, including all adjoining trunk and slip roads, a network of 440km across six counties. CPS also has responsibility for the Dartford River Crossing in Kent, comprising both Dartford Tunnels and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.

With a staff of around 600 people, based at seven locations across the network, CPS carries out routine maintenance and whole-life management of the thousands of M25 assets. CPS manages the operation of the network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including a severe weather season maintenance programme. CPS is identifying ways of reducing delays and improving journey time reliability across its road network.
