What you'll be doing

As a Project Manager you will:

  • Hold periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the Digital Briefcase in
    accordance with GBL
  • Ensure the team maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.)
  • Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
    Analytical Thinking & Decision Making
  • Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised
    efficiently to ensure cost control
  • Manage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and
    progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that
    contractual arrangements are achieved
  • Initiates good scope/information/configuration management principles
  • Ensure reports provide relevant information which enable decisions to be made
    which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall strategy
  • Ensure scope and package assignment supports the team in coordinated working Health Safety & Environmental



Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
  • Proficient in commercial/project management communications
  • Experience of heavy Civil Engineering Projects
  • Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others to
    build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the team
    where required
  • Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Ability to see the business vision and inspire this shared vision amongst the team

You will ideally hold one or more of the following:

  • Formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in management/construction or experience
    equivalent
  • APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ
  • CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent
