About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a Cable Compound Logistics Lead, you will have the following responsibilities,
- Be part of the MEH Alliance Joint Venture documentation relating to the Cable Installation and including (but not limited to) the strategic pre-planning of bulk cabling activities, drum management, logistics, plant, equipment, and resource planning.
- Quality plans for all plant and Logistics.
- Cost advice relating to the cable installation logistics.
- Schedule advice relating to the cable installation/procurement and Logistics.
- Technical information to support the wider HPC project.
- Risk management and mitigation strategies
Who we're looking for
Do you have?
- Experience in project management and the logistics delivery of complex cable installations.
- Experience in the management, transport, storage, and handling of all cables.
- Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety
- Confident use of IT and MS Office software
- Ability to obtain a high-level security clearance.
