Become part of something special and join our Rail Team working in the heart of London: We're offering a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to initially assist with delivering the high-profile engineering and construction works associated with the Piccadilly Line upgrade works. The project earmarked for the successful individual will be to join the Piccadilly Line Batch C team within our Canary Wharf office, with an opportunity to grow their experience and knowledge, and get involved in other works within the Traction business. The Batch C project is an exciting project, valued currently at 43m, which the project team will be responsible for from design to completion, providing much opportunity for the commercial team. What you'll be doing

- Responsible for commercial administration duties, including payment assessments, invoicing, site instructions and raising new subcontracts and orders - Input into the monthly payment applications to the client - Subcontract Management incl. liability/cost updates to feed into the SQS/CTC - Input into the cashflow& forecast reporting

Who we're looking for

The qualities we are looking for in the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be an individual eager to build on their current knowledge and experience, who takes initiative to get involved in new areas and help the team achieve their goals in anyway they feel they can. We require an individual that can show a level of confidence ability to working dependently, have a positive can-do-approach to work and show an eagerness to draw off the experience of their peers to aid in progressing their own careers. The role, and project, will present the individual with the chance to get involved in many aspects required to effectively manage a project from a commercial standpoint, and will also benefit their technical knowledge as we will look to take the team on site those the works progress through the stages of construction.
