What you'll be doing

As a Quantity Surveyor and custodian of the commercial side of construction works, you'll: - Grow through exposure, mentorship and technical training to reach chartered status - Manage ongoing relationships with the subcontractors we use to deliver specific aspects of wide-ranging infrastructure projects - Handle the tendering process to appoint the best subcontractors for the job at hand - Negotiate contracts and what subcontractors will bring to the table including plant, materials, resources and of course, incredibly skilled people - Rise to the challenge of meeting each clients requirements such as sourcing local subcontractors or making more sustainable choices - Be a key link for clients as works progress, things change and payments are needed - Handle commercial reporting looking at performance against cost and income - Be part of a close-knit cohort of Quantity Surveyors who want to see you succeed - Have plenty of opportunity to build invaluable professional networks.
