About the role

Customers come to us because we can take on and solve any kind of challenge, no matter how complex. Join our Rail team as a Principle Contract Manager on the CRSA Project and you'll help make this happen.

The role will require the individual to be based between our Doncaster and York, but able to travel within the confines of the Eastern IUT Enhancements Programme area, including all site offices, access points and other locations associated with the programme.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage Balfour Beattys principal contractor requirements for all site works.
  • Manage the possession, isolation and safe work pack planning team on the project.
  • Ensure Safe work packs are digitally delivered.
  • Ensure all Safe work packs are generated and issued in accordance with NR/L3/OHS/019 Planning and delivering safe work.
  • Ensure road rail vehicle and plant requirements are managed including POS, ALO and other compliance requirements.
  • Managing the Site Access control resource and maintaining access records.
  • Organise Welfare ensuring that it is suitable on a weekly basis depending on the amount of staff booked or expected.
  • Organise the cleaning of all units used for the PC covered works.
  • Acquiring any logistical information so meet and greet can be organised.
  • Attend all Possession and integration meetings related to the work areas
  • Organise a PC presence for site for the duration of any possession or line blockage.
  • Put the SAC packs together for all SAC personnel which include all information required for the booked Possession.
  • Assisting with closing out Close Calls raised within the PC area.
  • Contributing to the Induction to make sure it stays relevant to the project and place any safety related information out for all parties to take note.
  • Managing population of weekly access detail sheets
  • Submission of daily reports

Who we're looking for

  • PTS AC/DC
  • Safe Work Manager
  • Safe work planner
  • Valid Site management safety training scheme (SMSTS) certificate or
  • ALO Coordinator/ Planning
  • Proven record of successful Principal Contractor Possession implementation
  • Experience of possession and isolation planning
  • Understanding of all rail disciplines and interface management
  • Extensive experience / understanding of The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
  • Proven experience of team leadership and influencing staff as well as ability to work alone
