About Hinkley Point C

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.

Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.

What you'll be doing

As a Records Technician you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Ensure site based Life Time Quality Records management activities are carried out in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
  • Review incoming and outgoing documents for compliance to requirements.
  • Create master document templates and forms when required.
  • Complete the distribution of both electronic and hard copy documents. End to End configuration control.
  • Prepare data reports when required on document status for MEH Alliance
  • Follow LTQR process and procedures.
  • Utilise project LTQR system to capture mandatory document properties to support site, commissioning etc.
  • Ensure LTQR handover packs are complete and accurate.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for,

  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent IT skills and experience in applying electronic document management systems (EDMS) and associated metadata schemas
  • Experience on EDMS automation systems, inspection and control of LTQRs
  • Able to obtain a high level security clearance.
