About the role

We are looking for a talented Signalling Supervisor to join our Rail team in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success and development of our Rail Business Unit, while working alongside a dedicated and skilled team of professionals. What you'll be doing

  • Manage site construction activities from design through to commissioning, taking ownership for the successful delivery of all signalling and small multi-discipline packages of work.
  • Interface with the client on technical matters on behalf of the project manager
  • Identify any variations in signalling work that may affect the contract, assisting with pricing and allocating time to them.
  • Undertake signalling installation work as directed and provide direction and leadership to signalling installers and assistant signalling installers as required.
  • Ensure a site diary is kept and site work records are returned to the Construction Manager.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees and subcontractors under your responsibility.

Who we're looking for

  • IRSE licence Signalling Installation Technician (1.2.220 v2)
  • Knowledge of railway signalling systems and sub-systems.
  • Knowledge of appropriate industry standards relating to installation work.
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Use of Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT scanner)
  • Good communication skills
  • SMTH & COSS or SWL
  • Valid PTS with AC/DC
  • Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Installation and Testing of various Points Operating Equipment (HPSA, Clamp-lock, HW, Hy-drive)
  • Basic computer operating skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
