Based across the UK on our projects you will work on our Large Infrastructure within our Power Transmission and Distribution Projects.

Roles include a generous subsistence package (subject to T&C's), Allowances, Pension, and career progression within the industry.

What you'll be doing

As a General Foreman you will have the following accountabilities:

To ensure the safe, cost effective, timely and compliant delivery of HV OHL maintenance refurbishment, new build and dismantling works in accordance with Company, client, and regulatory standards.


In particular overseeing project delivery to the expectations of the relevant Scheme Delivery Manager or Project Manager. Leading multiple multi-disciplinary gangs operating across large, potentially complex, programmes and/or working
across a number of disparate projects.

  • Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery
  • Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
  • Experience in implementing safe systems of work
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the
    organisation
  • Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others
    to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the
    team where required
  • Commercially astute
  • Able to undertake work in high pressure situations
  • Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Communications Verbally, Written, Presenting
  • Two-way communication e.g., brief out weekly safety pack
  • Communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical
    stakeholder
  • Awareness and promotion the benefits of diversity and inclusion
  • Identify and drive personal development

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

  • Experience of working on a variety of project types
  • Proficient on O365
  • Experience with the use of GPS
  • Experience in the use of Total Stations
  • Survey & setting out experience
  • Experience in Stub Setting
  • Experience in OHL foundation types
  • Experience in concrete specifications
  • Experience in Temporary works designs
  • Holds a current driving licence

The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following:

  • CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent
  • Lift Supervisor
  • First Aid at Work
